$700 Trillion Dependency – How did we ever get here? Reminds of me of declining supply of talent

$700 Trillion Dependency

In the U.S. 700 people of 1,000 use cars. In China, 24 people of 1,000 use cars. The U.S. use 25% of world’s oil, and today, 70% of that oil requirement is imported.

The magnitude of the energy problem reminds me of the similar challenge with the declining number of employable people in the U.S. over the next decade. The challenge of ever increasing the speed of learning must be solved. It requires that we throw old solutions and try new ones.
