Video of entrepreneurs and experts on Web 2.0. Although there is a lot of talk about technology, the underlying theme is that Web 2.0 is only successful because the focus shifts from technology to users. Ideas like keeping a conversation, content produced by users, time to join and contribute, etc., are profound ways that seem to unearth users.
In learning, we term this as the learner-centered approach. For years, we have struggled to push learner-centered learning.
My lament: In training, we want learner-centered approaches to learning. However, when the tools are available for us to use, we seem surprised and most of us reject them. We don’t like much of Web 2.0 because it shifts the focus from trainers to learners as we help them learn best.
